So many of you may remember that I was in show business. I know it is hard to believe as you see me now, covered in Mitchili, running in and out of the café, sleep deprived, and happy as can be! After a couple of hours watching the boob tube last night, my decision to escape Hollywood was vindicated!
Anyone see ABC’s new reality show brought to you by Ashton and Tyra? It’s, like called TRUE BEAUTY, and, it’s like this totally cool show where ten really vain, really hot men and women show up at a pool party thinking they are in a beauty contest, but, like the totally hot twist is that they are really judging their inner beauty. OMG how great is that? So they, like, test their inner beauty with really really hard moral challenges like dealing with a clumsy waiter or snooping through their fellow contestants’ medical files. They all think they are the hottest thing since hibinera peppers. OMG it was, like, so totally great! And super duper funny! AND IF I SPEND ONE MORE SECOND OF MY LIFE, WATCHING THIS VAPID WAIST OF TIME AND MONEY, I WILL GOUGE OUT MY EYES WITH A PARING KNIFE! I, like totally promise!
So, I am glad I am out of show business and in the kitchen for the rest of my life. Rockstar left today so you have me every morning this week. And my vegan friends will be happy with me today since we have several vegan options on the menu both in the case and with the soups!
Rockstar seems to have left without giving me his Cooking Class menus, so I will go ahead and tell you about my first class this month – Sunday January 18 from 6-9. I am going to do three one pot meals including Mitchili, Sausage and Shrimp Gumbo, and Moroccan Chicken Tajine. Classes are limited to 18 people and are $50 per person. This includes a cooking demo in the kitchen, wine and then dinner with your 18 new best friends. The classes are great fun and a good way to learn a little about what we do at MetroFresh, learn some cooking techniques and meet some new people. If you would like to sign up, email me or give us a call. You will need do give a Credit Card number to hold your spot and you will be able to cancel up to 48 hours in advance.
When I get Rockstar’s menus I will pass them on, but we are going to do four classes in the next two months.
